Dons defeat frustrates Pools boss

Hartlepool manager Mick Wadsworth felt his side deserved something from their 1-0 home defeat to MK Dons. A drab opening first half ended with the game's first shot on target and the only goal. Evan Horwood's attempt at chesting the ball back to his keeper fell short and Daniel Powell nipped in to round Scott Flinders and score from a tight angle "It was hugely frustrating and we deserved at least a point. Stats, facts and figures show overwhelmingly we were in better shape," said Wadsworth. "A mistake was a terrible shame as we held the line well and they hadn't got in before that - other than set-plays. "Eight times out of 10 the centre-halves boot the ball away and the ball should have been deal with. But it's one mistake and I cannot lose my head with him as he had a good game before and after that. "Second-half there was only one team in it. It was a real gutsy performance. Our keeper hasn`t had anything to do, not been under pressure. "It was one of those crazy games when you play well and get nothing. And it's doubly galling as the same thing happened down there as well."
