The 32-year-old used the summer to recover from the injury and has put in some solid performances for Pools alongside partner Gary Liddle. "He (Liddle) is someone completely different to what I've been used to and I think we compliment each other well," Collins told the Northern Echo. "I probably didn't do myself any favours by playing with the injury and I needed the summer to rest and allow it to heal. "I was doing well for two or three games and having a bad game, when you need to be having nine or ten good games and the odd bad one. I'm pleased with my form this season - last season I wasn't."
