Porter struck early in each half in Friday night's League One clash at Victoria Park, with his two well-taken goals taking his tally for the season to 15.[LNB]"Joel Porter was fantastic," said Turner. "He's only trained one day since we beat Stoke in the cup two weeks ago and he missed our last match because of injury.[LNB]"But he's come back and provided two brilliant finishes to win the game for us. He's done that throughout his career with us and I can't speak highly enough of his ability and his application.[LNB]"This was a very important game for us and I made it clear to the players before the game that winning this means more to the club than our cup tie against West Ham next weekend.[LNB]"This is our bread and butter, the cup match is a bonus, but we can look forward to it all week now."[LNB]The result nudged Pools into the top half of the table, although they are still 11 points from the play-off zone.[LNB][LNB]
