The United chief was full of praise for his side after their 3-0 win over Oldham last Friday and hailed the work of his backroom staff after a busy summer, which saw no fewer than 11 players arrive at Victoria Park. "We put a lot of work into scouting at the end of last season and throughout the summer, both up and down the country and abroad and brought the right quality and character of players in," Turner told the Northern Echo. "I look at the team now and there's three, four, five players who if they continue will attract attention from above." Turner is also boosted by the return of club captain Ritchie Humphreys after an Achilles injury, giving his side a clean bill of health ahead of this weekend's clash with Wycombe. And the Pools chief insists his side are eager to kick-on after Friday's victory, adding: "There is a togetherness and a will to win amongst the boys. They have stuck to their tasks, what we asked of them."
