Boyd concern for Pools

Hartlepool are sweating on the fitness of striker Adam Boyd ahead of the clash with Sheffield Wednesday. Boyd is suffering from a knee injury and will be assessed on Friday. Strike partner James Brown has shaken off a similar problem and is set to start, while Fabian Yantorno is in contention for selection after overcoming a back complaint. Neil Austin (ankle) remains on the sidelines but is pencilled in for a return to training next week. Ritchie Humphreys was an unused substitute in the midweek Carling Cup defeat to Wigan and remains short of match fitness following an Achilles problem. Pools are unbeaten in three league outings this season and Mick Wadsworth was triumphant in his first game as caretaker manager last weekend, a 2-0 win at Yeovil.
