Boss: We lacked attacking threat

Rune Lange put Pools in front before Ali Gerba's brace and a Dean Lewington header sealed a third successive victory for Di Matteo's men.

A disappointed Turner said: "We were unlucky at times but I think in the final third when we were having good spells we didn't create enough and didn't punish them.

"It was a composed finish from Rune, a little chip over the goalkeeper and it is great for him to get off the mark and hopefully that will continue.

"We had one or two players missing, but the lads who came in did extremely well. It was a young midfield and they will gain from that experience.

"We knew it was going to be tough coming here against a good side but we nearly did something and if we had done better in the final third we may have got a point."
