Hartlepool striker Denis Behan will fight for a starting spot after being left out of the club`s first two games of the season. The 26-year-old praised the form of fellow forward Adam Boyd but insisted he will be doing his best to impress director of sport Chris Turner and regain his place. "You have to say that Adam Boyd has done very well in recent games, scoring in each of the last two fixtures," Behan told the club's official website. "He's doing the business and will stay in the side as long as that is happening, so it is up to me and the other strikers to fight for their places. "I'll keep pushing and pushing as I know I can play a big part for the team this season. "What I have to do at the moment is make sure I handle being out of the side in a positive way. I know Peter Hartley was upset to be left out against Sheffield United but he's still been fantastic in training and shown a great attitude because he knows that's the best way to go about catching the management's eye. "I'll be doing exactly the same to try and win my place in the side."
