Attacking quandary for Pools boss

14 August 2009 15:25
Adam Boyd came on as a substitute to score the winner in Pools' Carling Cup success at Coventry in midweek and is pushing for a place, as are fellow forwards Colin Larkin and James Brown who also impressed off the bench at the Ricoh Arena. Brown has now played 90 minutes of football this season following a lengthy absence with a cruciate ligament injury, but Turner is unlikely to risk him from the start just yet. Denis Behan has started both games so far and should keep his spot. Hartlepool's only absentees are Ben Clark (hernia) and Ritchie Humphreys (Achilles), with both players set for prolonged spells on the sidelines.
