Calf injury to sideline Bruggink

10 Feb 2010 - 08:19:07

Dutch midfielder Arnold Bruggink is unlikely to play for Hannover 96 again this month after suffering a calf injury in training.

It is believed that the former Real Mallorca star tore a muscle in his right calf and will be sidelined for at least three weeks.

Head coach Mirko Slomka is expected to bring Brazilian midfielder Elson, who is on loan from Stuttgart, into his starting line-up during Bruggink's absence.

Hannover are currently in the relegation zone after winning only four of their opening 21 Bundesliga matches.
