Reid talks up Accies hopes

Hamilton Academical manager Billy Reid has set his sights upwards after a 2-1 win at Kilmarnock moved his side eight points clear of the SPL basement.

The Accies are now ninth in the table and just a point behind Aberdeen in eighth, having taken three points at Rugby Park thanks to goals from Mickael Antoine-Curier and Simon Mensing.

Reid commented: "I've said all along I'm not looking at the team at the bottom.

"I'm looking at the teams above us. We have got Aberdeen above us and that's our motivation.

"I believe in this group of players and if they perform like that, there is no reason why we can't get above them.

"I'm thrilled with the performance, not just the score. Overall, it was a fantastic performance from a group of players I believe in. I've said this is the best group I've worked with."
