Hamilton Academical manager Billy Reid is confident that midfielder James McArthur will give his all for the club in the coming months, despite seeming certain to move on in the summer.

The 22-year-old is being tracked by a number of clubs either side of the border, but Reid is happy that McArthur will continue to do his best to help Accies avoid the drop.

He said: "It's not a worry. James can't move anywhere until the end of the season. I fully expect him to move at the end of the season and I think the timing would be right for him.

"I know James is committed to Hamilton Accies until then. He has served his apprenticeship at Accies and he would leave with our blessing.

"It's great that clubs are taking an interest and it's no surprise really.

"I know his character and I'm not worried at all. He is one of the most committed young men I've worked with."
