New deal for Accies skipper

Hamilton Academical skipper Alex Neil has penned a two-year contract extension at New Douglas Park.

Neil, 27, has been with the Accies for three years following his arrival from Mansfield Town and has made over 120 appearances for the now Scottish Premier League side.

"Alex is at the heart of what we're trying to do at the club," said chairman Ronnie MacDonald.

"He's a massive player for us and we are thrilled to have secured his services for a further two years."
