Scotland primed for Hamilton bow

Hamilton will include new signing Jason Scotland in their squad against Cowdenbeath if international clearance comes through on time.

Jonathan Routledge is included after five months out with a knee injury and on-loan Celtic youngster Paul George is in line for a delayed debut after last Saturday's game with Dundee was washed away.

A stomach muscle injury keeps player-manager Alex Neil absent and a knee injury sees Jon McShane miss out.

Neil said: "Cowdenbeath will be very tricky opponents and we have to play well to win the three points. They made things difficult for us in the two earlier games this season and are strong away from home."

Cowdenbeath could hand a debut to Chris Kane following his arrival from Dunfermline.

Thomas O'Brien is banned, Andy Russell missing out with a foot injury and Marc McKenzie has joined East Fife on loan.

Manager Jimmy Nicholl said: "For some reason we are better away from home than at Central Park as our recent wins at Dundee and Alloa as well as the draw at Raith Rovers shows.

"We have to win games to climb the table and it would be terrific to do that at Hamilton, however we will need to play well to do that at New Douglas Park."
