Diatta joins Qatar side Al Ahli

Senegalese defender Lamine Diatta has joined Qatar's Al Ahli having failed to make a single appearance for Scottish Premier League club Hamilton Accies. The former Senegal captain was unable to displace regular centre-halfs Mark McLaughlin or Chris Swailes. The 33-year-old defender, who was previously with Lyon and Newcastle, is only eligible to play in the Emir Cup.
