Cerny agrees Hamilton deal

Hamilton have secured the future of goalkeeper Tomas Cerny on a two-year contract.

The Czech keeper has impressed while on loan at New Douglas Park from Sigma Olomouc this season and had been linked with a summer move to Celtic and Rangers.

However, Accies have paid a fee in the region of £250,000 to secure his services on a permanent deal.

"Tomas will not be going to the Old Firm or anywhere else, I'm absolutely certain of that," said chairman Ronnie MacDonald.

"He's happy in Scotland and settled with Hamilton. He's been the best keeper in the SPL this year and as a club we want to continue going forward so why would we allow him to go?

"He has signed a two-year extension with us and has a big future with Hamilton."
