Martin Canning believes moving from Hibernian to Hamilton was one of the best decisions of his career.

The 27-year-old left Easter Road in the August transfer window since when he has played a key part in the Accies' impressive campaign.

Canning said: "Things are going really well for me. I'm playing regular games again and, when you're involved on a regular basis, that's half the battle and I'm happy with how it's all turned out.

"It helps when you're getting consistency and regular matches. It all helps with your confidence and in turn means that you play better as well.

"From a personal point of view I'm really happy with the way that things have worked out for me and the Cup run is just a bonus for us. Hopefully we can make the most of it."
