Accies secure Goodwin signing

Hamilton Academical have completed the signing of former Scunthorpe United midfielder Jim Goodwin.

The 28-year-old Irishman has signed an initial contract with the Accies which runs until January.

Goodwin started his career with Celtic, before heading to England to enjoy spells with Stockport County, Scunthorpe, Huddersfield Town and Oldham Athletic.

Accies boss Billy Reid told the club's official website: "I have been tracking Jim for a while and I'm delighted to add him to the squad. He gives us more strength."
