Accies launch McArthur appeal

Hamilton have decided to appeal against James McArthur's red card in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Inverness.

The midfielder was controversially sent off in the second half for a challenge on Filipe Morais although he appeared to win the ball.

Accies secretary Scott Struthers said: "We've submitted the match DVD together with the appeal fee and a detailed letter outlining the particulars of our claim.

"The situation is that this will now go back before the match referee who will be asked to view the incident again.

"The matter will be reviewed prior to our match on Wednesday night."
