Hamilton midfielder Greg Docherty wants to start a winning run

Hamilton midfielder Greg Docherty aims to start a run of victories to stop him worrying about the Ladbrokes Premiership table.

Accies have only lost once in eight matches but still find themselves just one point above bottom club Partick, who visit the SuperSeal Stadium on Saturday.

A string of draws has kept Accies firmly in a packed bottom half of the table and Docherty wants to move away from the relegation zone so he can enjoy his Saturday nights.

"Everyone's in the same boat," the 20-year-old said. "You look at Dundee, a couple of weeks ago they were down and two wins and they are straight back up. You can be sixth one week and then right back down.

"It is sometimes in the back of your mind that if you lose or don't pick up three points on a Saturday and you look at the scores and you don't know where you're going to be.

"You are relying on results. We don't want to rely on results, we want to take care of our own performances."

Partick Thistle winger David Amoo claims points are all that matter now as the Jags aim to bounce back from a "heart-wrenching" defeat by Rangers.

Thistle were on course to claim their first win over a Rangers team for 23 years until Joe Dodoo hit two late goals, including a winner four minutes into time added on.

The last-gasp goal ensured Thistle ended last weekend bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership and Amoo is fed up of hard-lines stories.

The former Carlisle winger now plans to adopt a more ruthless attitude as Thistle travel to Hamilton looking for points ahead of plaudits.

Amoo told his club's official website: "It's a really big game, especially considering how close the bottom half of the league is at the moment.

"We've been playing well, which is great, but it's a results business and we need results.

"We will go out on Saturday to win the game no matter what."
