Neil doubt for Hamilton

Hamilton have a doubt over Alex Neil ahead of the visit of Livingston to New Douglas Park as their influential captain is struggling with a calf strain.

Andy Ryan will miss out with an ankle injury and Jon McShane is absent with a knee problem.

Manager Billy Reid has told his players that they are playing for places in next weekend's Scottish Cup quarter final tie with Falkirk.

Reid said: "We are looking to bounce back after losing to Partick Thistle and Livingston are a good footballing side, who will be out to make up for losing to Falkirk in midweek, so we will have to play well to win.

"Looking forward as our players should be using this game to secure their starting place for next Saturday."

Livingston travel with defender Jason Talbot in the squad for the first time this season following knee surgery.

Paul Watson is a doubt with a knee injury and Marc McNulty is again struggling with a hamstring problem and they could join the long-term injured Keaghan Jacobs and Ross Docherty in missing out.

The objective for the Lions is simple, with head coach Gareth Evans saying: "We have to put in a better performance than we put in against Falkirk in midweek. We lost 2-0 and never got going all night.

"We were good against Cowdenbeath last Saturday and I want us to get back to that standard quickly. We will have to as Hamilton showed good form themselves before losing to leaders Partick Thistle in midweek."
