Ali Crawford and Dougie Imrie suspended for Hamilton against Inverness

Ali Crawford and Dougie Imrie are suspended for Hamilton's Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Inverness at New Douglas Park on Wednesday night after going through the disciplinary points threshold.

Imrie will also miss the last game of the season against Partick Thistle.

Accies player-manager Martin Canning expects a couple of his players to shrug off niggles picked up against Dundee on Saturday.

Accies' last home game saw them lose 4-0 to second-bottom Kilmarnock after which the stadium announcer claimed none of the home players deserved the usual man-of-the-match accolade.

Canning remains unimpressed with the jibe and hopes there are more than a few candidates against Inverness.

"I didn't hear it but I heard about it," he said. "But that's been dealt with upstairs.

"You want the whole club pulling together. You don't want anybody, whether it is the fans, the players, a member of staff or someone who works at the club to have a pop at anybody.

"There will be good days and bad days. I don't remember after good days, when we have played well, him saying something positive so there is no need to be saying something negative.

"We all knew it wasn't good enough on that day but we worked hard and put it right on Saturday.

"Like I say, the most important thing is that everyone works together, you have to do that to punch above your weight and it was disappointing from that respect.

"It has been good since the weekend. We got the result and we stay in the league which was the target at the start of the season. Now we want to finish the season strongly.

"If we could finish our last game here with a win it would be great."

Inverness midfielder Iain Vigurs returns from a two-game ban.

The former Ross County and Motherwell man sat out the 4-1 win at Partick and last Friday's defeat at home to Dundee United after collecting his 14th booking of the campaign.

Goalkeeper Dean Brill is pushing for a return following a knee injury, Aaron Doran is making progress from a similar problem but is unlikely to play while Alex Fisher is getting closer as he recovers from an ankle problem.

Boss John Hughes was named manager of the month after his team picked up three wins and a draw during April.

But he redirected the praise to his playing staff, saying: "I'm the recipient of the award but it's the players who earned it.

"For the last six weeks they have been absolutely outstanding. That run has come at the right time.

"We were unlucky not to get into the top six but once we missed out, it was important we got points on the board and make sure we did not get caught in the relegation dogfight.

"So all credit to the boys for showing a real desire to get the job done. The award will go right into the player's dressing room."
