Hamburg have announced the appointment of Armin Veh as their new head coach for next season. The 49-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Bundesliga club, who failed to secure a European spot last season, while also being knocked out of the Europa League at the semi-final stage by Fulham. Ricardo Moniz ended the campaign in the Hamburg hotseat after Bruno Labbadia was shown the door. Veh will work alongside Bastian Reinhardt, who becomes HSV's new director of sport. In recent times Veh has been in charge of Stuttgart and Wolfsburg, leading the former to the Bundesliga title in 2007.
