Veh: I'm up for the challenge

Newly-appointed Hamburg coach Armin Veh has insisted he is ready for the challenges that lie ahead.

Veh penned a two-year deal at the Nordbank Arena-based outfit on Monday evening while Bastian Reinhardt was appointed sporting director.

Veh won the Bundesliga title with Stuttgart in 2007 and has been handed the task of improving Hamburg's disappointing seventh-placed finish last term.

Speaking to reporters, he said: "I am very happy to take on this challenging task at this great club.

"I think we have a great chance to achieve something. And while it is a pity the club missed out on Champions League qualification, it could actually be an advantage for us."
