Ruud eyes Europa glory

Hamburg striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is dreaming of Europa League success at the end of the season ahead of their quarter-final clash with Standard Liege on Thursday.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid sensation has yet to win a European title and, at the age of 33, his chances of correcting this statistic are running out.

With Liege standing in between them and a place in the last-four, he believes it will be a tough test against the Belgian outfit.

Speaking to reprters, he said: "I have still not won any international titles in my career.

"The semi-finals of the Champions League with Manchester in 2002 was my best result.

"There are only eight teams left in the competition. They will be fantastic games. It would be super if we were to win the final.

"I have great respect for Liege. They have had good performances in the Champions League and in the Europa League this season."
