Rost extends Hamburg deal

Veteran former Germany goalkeeper Frank Rost has penned a new one-year contract extension with Hamburg.

The 36-year-old's new deal runs until the end of next season and he is delighted to have agreed fresh terms.

He told the club's official website: "I have always emphasised that I wanted to stay at HSV, so I am happy that I can play another season in Hamburg.

"This place has become my home."

Rost moved to Hamburg three years ago, having previously made his name during spells with Werder Bremen and Schalke.
