Hamburg have turned to Bruno Labbadia following the departure of former coach Martin Jol to Ajax. Labbadia has left his role as coach of Bayer Leverkusen to take the reins at the HSH Nordbank Arena. "In Bruno Labbadia, we have appointed a coach who completely identifies with this assignment," said Hamburg's director of sport Dietmar Beiersdorfer. "He stands for absolute professionalism, passion and has a clear philosophy of how football should be played. "We are looking forward to working together." Labbadia, who was unsettled at Bayer following their German Cup Final defeat last month, has agreed a three-year contract with Hamburg.
