Labbadia makes attacking plans
16 Oct 2009 - 07:03:31
Hamburg coach Bruno Labbadia has admitted that he's been forced into re-thinking his plans for the club's forward line after the loss of Mladen Petric and Paolo Guerrero.
Labbadia's first choice strike partnership won't be back until 2010, leaving summer signing Marcus Berg, who scored twice in the Europa League two weeks ago, as the most senior striker.
"We're not going to put any one individual under pressure," warned Labbadia, speaking to the Bundesliga website.
"Marcus is still a young player, albeit one who has already proved his quality. But we can only cover for our long-term absentees through a collective effort. I have faith in my team."
