Former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Martin Jol has been appointed as the new manager of Bundesliga side Hamburg.
The Dutchman was sacked by Spurs last October following a disappointing start to the new season, but Jol is now back in the game, having signed a two-year contract with Hamburg.
HSV chairman, Bernd Hoffmann, told the club's official website: "We are sure that we have appointed the right coach for HSV."
Hamburg had been on the lookout for a new coach ever since Huub Stevens announced that he would leave the club in the summer to take charge at PSV Eindhoven.
Jol's new club life fifth in the Bundesliga standings with one game of the season to play, while they also reached the last 16 of the UEFA Cup earlier this season, before being beaten by fellow German side Bayer Leverkusen.
