Hamburg line up Rafinha

Brazil wing-back Rafinha is being lined up for a move from Schalke to Bundesliga rivals Hamburg.

The 24-year-old has been with the Royal Blues since 2005 and has been linked with a move away from Gelsenkirchen on several occasions, with Juventus having been keen to land the South American a year ago.

However, Rafinha is now considering staying in Germany and heading for Hamburg instead.

His agent, Marcos Malaquias, told Hamburger Abendblatt: "It's correct that Hamburg have approached us to discuss a possible transfer for Rafinha.

"He'd be more than interested to join HSV this summer. Every player would love to play for a club like Hamburg.

"However, we won't start contract negotiations with Hamburg until they've reached an agreement with Schalke."
