Hamburg coach Fink under pressure

Hamburg's sporting director Frank Arnesen has piled pressure on under-fire coach Thorsten Fink, revealing the Bundesliga handler will be evaluated in the winter break following three straight defeats to open the season.
"Until December 16 (when the winter break begins), there are still 14 matches in which to gauge the team and that also goes for Thorsten", the Danish director told local daily the Hamburger Abendblatt.
"For the moment, we have to give the coach time to work with the group before we make conclusions in the winter."
The 1983 European champions are celebrating 125 years of existence but have had a disastrous start to the new campaign, having been knocked out of the German Cup by third division Karlsruhe and losing all three of their Bundesliga matches.
The 44-year-old Fink helped Hamburg stay up last term after taking over from Argentine Rodolfo Cardosa but has won just seven matches from 31 outings.
The team is now languishing at the bottom of the table going into this weekend's match against champions Borussia Dortmund.
Not even the return of Dutch star Rafael van der Vaart from Tottenham in the off-season has ignited a run of form, as Fink comes under greater scrutiny for the visit to Dortmund.
