Hamburg: No bids for Elia

Hamburg officials have confirmed that the club have not received any bids for Netherlands star Eljero Elia ahead of the new Bundesliga campaign.

Elia, who teamed up with Hamburg last summer from FC Twente, is thought to be high on Juventus and Werder Bremen's shopping list, but general manager Bastian Reinhardt has said there have been no offers for his services.

Reinhardt said: "We have not received any offers for Eljero Elia.

"It was in the course of our July friendly against Juventus when the officials from Juventus enquired about the player. Still we have not received anything concrete afterwards.

"Eljero Elia is under contract at our club and we also have not received a bid for him from Wolfsburg."
