Five-match ban for Guerrero

Hamburg will be without the services of striker Jose Paolo Guerrero for the remainder of the Bundesliga season after being hit with a five-game suspension.

The Peru international was slapped with the hefty ban for throwing a bottle of water at a fan after his side's goalless draw with Hannover over the weekend.

He was also fined 20,000 euros by the German Football Association (DFB), this coming after his boss Bruno Labbadia handed down a 100,000euros penalty.

At the time of the incident, the German FA said: "The DFB have initiated an investigation against Paolo Guerrero. Guerrero is suspected of a violent act against a spectator.

"Television pictures show him throwing a bottle into the stands and hitting a spectator in the face."
