Dutch leave van Nistelrooy out

Hamburg striker Ruud van Nistelrooy looks set to miss this summer's World Cup finals in South Africa after being left out the Netherlands' 26-man training squad for the tournament.

The 33-year-old former PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United and Real Madrid star retired from international football after Euro 2008, before making himself available for international selection again.

Bayern Munich duo Arjen Robben and Mark van Bomme, as well as Internazionale's Wesley Sneijder, have also been omitted to allow them to prepare for the Champions League final later this month.
