Drobny makes Hamburg switch

Hamburg have completed the signing of goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobny after his contract with Hertha Berlin expired.

The Czech Republic international joins the Nordbank Arena-based outfit on a three-year deal and will compete with regular number one Frank Rost for a starting role in Armin Veh's side.

Speaking about the move, he said: "I am looking forward to the challenge. I am convinced that we will have a great and successful season.

"You only have to look at the squad to see the potential here. I imagine they weren't satisfied with their performance in the Bundesliga last season."
