Killeen extends Shay stay

Sheffield United striker Lewis Killeen has extended his loan spell at Halifax Town by another month.

The 20-year-old has scored four times in ten appearances for the Shaymen, including two in the FA Trophy victory over Doncaster on Tuesday.

Killeen's loan spell was due to end after the home clash with Farnborough on Saturday but, with Dean Windass sealing a permanent move to Bramall Lane, Blades manager Neil Warnock was prepared to let the youngster stay at the Shay.

The news has come as a relief to manager Chris Wilder after former Southport forward Simon Parke was ruled out for the next six weeks.
