Halifax's match winner Andy Farrell has hailed Saturday's 1-0 victory over Morecambe as a great team performance.
The 19-year-old striker grabbed the headlines with a last minute winner after the Shaymen had been reduced to ten men, when Phil Clarkson collected two of his team's six yellow cards.
But Farrell insisted that his team mates share the credit for the result.
"The lads deserved the win - they put everything in," he told the Halifax Evening Courier.
"I got the goal, but the whole team was outstanding. Morecambe are no mugs and we deserved the win.
"The Gaffer has impressed on me that if you keep going you get your rewards. Brian Quailey closed the defender down and I saw him check back.
"I knew he would either have to whack it or pass it back to the keeper. I took a touch away from the keeper to make him move and slotted it under him."
The Shaymen hope to make it three wins in a row and climb into the play-off places when they entertain struggling Leigh RMI on New Year's Day.
