Grimsby Town chairman John Fenty remains positive that the club will be granted permission to build their proposed new stadium.
The League Two outfit will find out in January whether their plans for a new stadium in the Great Coates area of the town will be rubber-stamped by the planning authorities.
"Our proposals offer the same benefits to the community and the whole area as the Salford Reds and the Colchester community stadiums," said Fenty referring to other recent applications that have been approved.
"Having completed the technical work and more, we are now looking forward to some positive news from our local authority."
