Monty eager for Town chance

New Grimsby Town goalkeeper Gary Montgomery is hoping to get his career back on track after signing a one-year deal at Blundell Park.
The 24-year-old is hoping to be given a chance to prove his worth, after a disappointing stint with Rotherham United.
He told the Evening Telegraph: "I am very excited about the prospect of a new season at a new club. It will be a fresh challenge for me.
"I am only 24 and looking to get back on track. My career probably stalled a bit at Rotherham.
"I went there from Coventry feeling really good and playing well. But I didn't get anywhere near the amount of games that I would have liked to have got there.
"Whether that's through my own performance or managerial decisions - it's sometimes how football goes.
"I do have a lot to prove to people. I had a lot of doubters and critics at Rotherham, but I feel confident in my ability."
