Grimsby Town midfielder James Hunt's season is over after he suffered a recurrence of his Achilles problem.
The 31-year-old former Northampton Town and Bristol Rovers player returned to the starting line-up last weekend after a fortnight's lay-off with the injury, but had to be substituted in the second half of the 2-1 defeat at Bradford City.
Peter Till is also struggling with ligament damage to his left knee, with Mariners boss Alan Buckley confirming: "Hunty stopped training this week because his Achilles is still sore and it may be that his season's over.
"Tilly, too, is struggling to figure again with the ligament damage he did last week.
"That means there has to be changes - it's a question of whether it's just personnel or formation."
