Fitness a concern for Woods

Grimsby Town manager Neil Woods still doesn't think his players are fit enough, after watching them lose 1-0 to in-form Notts County at Blundell Park.

Lee Hughes' goal extended the Mariners' winless run to 20 matches and they remain entrenched in the League Two drop-zone.

Woods admitted: "The fitness is something we've got to look at it, because there's been a difference between our performances in the first and second halves in our last two games.

"The game started to change a little bit when our front two started to tire.

"We've brought players in who are competitive and experienced, so we aren't going to get bullied out of games like we did at Rotherham ever again.

"The game changed on one mistake. It's hard to take. I can't fault the players' attitude or work rate, but ultimately the reason why they're where they are in the league is because they don't make those types of mistakes."
