Veteran full-back Gary Croft is desperate to impress while on trial with Lincoln City and earn a contract at Sincil Bank.
The 33-year-old left-back is a free agent after leaving Grimsby Town and is currently hoping to earn a contract wit the Mariners' Lincolnshire rivals.
He told the Evening Telegraph: "I've been training at Doncaster, but just to keep in shape really. They have a huge squad and the chance of winning a contract is remote.
"It's crossed my mind about going part-time and I played in a friendly for Burton against Ipswich last week which went really well.
"But I think I've got another couple of years left in me and to do it at an ambitious club like Lincoln would be a great opportunity."
