Coulson keen to impress
20 Nov 2009 - 14:52:52
Michael Coulson has admitted to being surprised to be given the chance to impress during a loan spell at Grimsby Town.
The Barnsley striker has been on loan at Chester City recently and is pleased to be back in the Football League.
The 21-year-old said: "I was driving back from training at Chester on Tuesday when Mark Robins (Barnsley boss) called and asked if I fancied going to Grimsby.
"To be honest, I was expecting to stay at Chester but I jumped at the chance of league football and, within a couple of days, I was training with my new team-mates.
"I can't wait to get playing and will give my all while I'm here. I'm really looking forward to it and will do my best to get goals for Grimsby.
"I want to play in the league and test myself and this is my big chance to prove I can get goals at this level."
