Woods, who was appointed on a permanent basis last month, saw the struggling Mariners pick up a credible 1-1 draw against in-form Morecambe on Friday.[LNB]The former Town player has overseen a number of backroom changes since his appointment and is pleased at how his new regime is taking shape.[LNB]Woods told the Grimsby Telegraph: "It's going to be a long process to turn things around the way I want to, but it's pleasing to see how things have gone so far.[LNB]"Bringing in Chris Casper as assistant has been a big factor and the rest of the staff have played their part too. But I go back to the reaction of the players and that really enthuses me, especially as I'm new to this level of management."[LNB]Meanwhile, young duo Grant Normington and Matthew Bird have extended their loan deals at non-league side Frickley.[LNB][LNB]
