Watt a good idea against Wednesday
Grimsby will take a look at the former Chelsea centre-back during Saturday's pre-season friendly against Sheffield Wednesday. The defender, 25, began his career at Chelsea but failed to break into the first-team - his only appearance was an FA Cup third round tie against Scunthorpe at Stamford Bridge. He spent two years at Swansea City but again found first-team opportunites limited before moving back to his native Scotland in 2008. He made 43 appearances in two years for the club.
