The 29-year-old has been out for almost four months and has already undergone double hernia surgery. His recovery has been dogged by complications and, after a setback following his return to full training last week, another visit to see a specialist has prompted more treatment.[LNB]It means a prolonged spell on the sidelines for Stockdale, who has managed just nine league and cup appearances this season.[LNB]"Robbie's injury has been a real frustrating one and disappointing for everyone - not least Robbie himself," said Town physio Dave Moore. "When he went for the original procedure the prognosis was a lay-off of around four to six weeks at most. It has obviously been a lot longer.[LNB]"He took his time and finally made a return to full training before the Bury game, but then ended up really sore after just two days.[LNB]"He said it still wasn't right so we sent him to see the same consultant who operated and he is due for another operation. Then he needs to rest and, hopefully, that can help cure it."[LNB][LNB]
