Town boss frustrated by defeat

Sean Rigg and Robert Taylor put the Valiants in control and, although Taylor was sent off three minutes from time and Vale conceded a last-minute penalty converted by Barry Conlon, the visitors were full value for the points.[LNB]"It was very frustrating," said Woods. "I thought we were very good in the last game against Morecambe but the first 45 minutes here was the worst under my management. We were awful."[LNB]Woods changed the side which played so well against Morecambe and admitted that had been a mistake. He added: "I've got to hold my hands up and say that I don't think the changes worked, but the goals came from individual mistakes.[LNB]"The reason why we are where we are is that we make too many of those mistakes. Even when we were piling on pressure at the end I didn't see Port Vale make a clear mistake to gift us a goal.[LNB]"We were better in the second half. We showed a bit of energy and passion but it's easy to show that when you are 2-0 down. What we have to do is come out the blocks like that."[LNB][LNB]
