The 24-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Mariners last season and, after being released by Leeds on Wednesday, is looking to return to Blundell Park permanently. "There's a very high percentage I will be a Grimsby player soon," he told the Grimsby Telegraph. "It's a case of when, not if, for me." The midfielder failed to appear for Leeds at all during the last campaign and made just nine appearances for them after joining from Stoke in January 2008. Grimsby have also signalled their intentions to sign Chester defender Paul Linwood. The 25-year-old has a year to run on his deal with City but has been told he can leave if he finds another club and Grimsby have reported on their official website that they are "hoping to sign" the former Tranmere man.
