The midfielder, who turned 19 this month, has endured a forgetful 2009 after rupturing cruciate ligaments in a knee during the festive programme last season.[LNB]The initial prognosis was a nine-month lay-off but complications have seen a handful of small follow-up operations to clear out scar tissue - the most recent just last month.[LNB]Rhoades was handed a one-year professional contract by former manager Mike Newell in the summer and current boss Neil Woods, who helped nurture the youngster's talent during his time as youth coach, is delighted to see the player on the mend.[LNB]"It's been a horrendous 12 months for Drew. It was a big operation as anyone who has ruptured a cruciate ligament will tell you and then it's not gone as smooth as we hoped," said Woods. "Hopefully he's moving further down the road to recovery now.[LNB]"He's back and doing some light running now and it's great to see him back with a smile on his face. There's still a long way to go but I'm really pleased for the boy because he's stuck at it over the last year."[LNB][LNB]
