Newell upbeat despite Quakers loss

Substitute Curtis Main, 16, scored his first goal for the Quakers with a close-range header three minutes from time to secure the points.[LNB]Newell said: "We have come away from home against a side that if they win their games in hand will be top of the league and we have matched them.[LNB]"It was a poor pitch and not a lot of football was played but nevertheless I thought that the wind had gone out of Darlington.[LNB]"Apart from the goal and another chance they had just before they scored, we were their equals and that was pleasing for me.[LNB]"I thought we had seen the game out.
