Newell: Draw felt like a defeat

The 10-man Quakers grabbed an 81st-minute equaliser through substitute Curtis Main after Rob Atkinson had put the Mariners ahead after 21 minutes in Saturday's League Two clash at Blundell Park.[LNB]"It feels like a defeat," said Newell. "As well as Darlington have done with 10 men, it's one we feel we should have won. We had the chances but we were not clinical or ruthless enough to take them.[LNB]"You always feel you should a see game off but we are not playing particularly well at the moment. We had won two games but it's all a bit disjointed, we're having to make changes because we have not got lads who are capable of giving 90 minutes and that's always going to cause you problems.[LNB]"That's the way it is. Darlington kept the ball better than us and we could not kill the game off because we never had the ball.[LNB]"I was pleased with the players who were returning from injury but they have not played a lot of first team football."[LNB][LNB]
